Ava's whoopee cushion had made the family laugh. Then everyone learned to check the chairs.
Now Ava saw a hand buzzer for two coins, exactly the coins she had left.
Louis thought it was the cushion all over again.
It is not the same!
‘It goes in your HAND,’ Ava explained.
The stallholder demonstrated. The buzzer made Louis jump. Ava was already imagining her next joke.
Mum asked who the joke would be for.
‘Everyone!’ said Ava.
It is not the same!
Would they enjoy the surprise, or learn it as quickly as the cushion? Ava could think about that before spending.
The buzzer sat on its card. Ava had two coins, a family she loved making laugh and plenty of ideas. A new purchase was only one possible next joke.
